Any way to quickly regrade quiz questions if you changed a question points possible..

Yes from the dropdown menu of the assessment you would use the grade option. Then click on the Questions tab. Then use the options on the page to update attempts. Then pick the question to update.
Remember to fix the question on the assessment/question library also. Since this change only effects attempts already finished and doesn't fix future attempts.

Thank you both.

This doesn't actually seem to work. What if we need to change how many points a question is out of? It will only change for students who have not taken the quiz. Is there a way to change how many points the question is worth and then apply it retroactively?

I agree with Lindsay on this one. The video ends with the question I need answered which "If you want to change the answer key, go back to the test or the question library and edit the question and answer there." But what are the consequences of this...how does it work?

UPDATE: Wow...I just watched this help video. It was very comprehensive...but wow, that workflow is pretty complicated.

Thank you @Mike Barker !
I believe this is exactly what I was looking for.

I've been trying to update a quiz attempt for 2 weeks. the question should have been worth 10 points so the quiz should have been 10/10. I accidentally put 1 now the quiz will update the quiz score. it's still 10/1. nothing that has been posted addresses or comes close to addressing this issue. I don't want to give one score to all attempts. it's a WR question. I want the quiz to reflect the score of 10/10. will this issue ever be resolved?

@B Ke No, unfortunately it is still not possible to change the total points of a quiz within the quiz tool. The best you can do is update the attempts with the new points so that the students' earned points are correct, change the maximum points on the grade item (retract feedback first if grades had already been sent), and then copy the points earned for each student from the quiz to the gradebook. That will put the correct grade into the gradebook and the percentage will be sent back to the quiz when grades are saved.
