New course checklist for instructors?

I seem to remember there being a new course checklist you could enable so that instructors were prompted with like 5 things to do in a new course to make it ready. I can't seem to find any references to it in the config variable browser. Did this feature go away?

That was part of the instructor dashboard.

I do think they got rid of it.

Bummer. I didn't like the options that were there by default, but I really liked the idea. We'd love to customize the items instructors should do in a new course. We routinely get feedback from new instructors that setting up a new course is not intuitive, so it'd be great to guide them.

Hey @Andy Freed , I created a custom widget which is part of the default homepage of the typical tasks for instructors when setting up a course. It uses replace strings so it works and links to those tools in the current course. The (?) question marks link to our documentation on how to do it when they get there. @Jonathan Sorrenti is correct that the Personal Dashboard (and corresponding Course Setup Checklist) was removed in the 10.8.4 release. With the Brightspace Daylight Experience and standard org homepages, there was a strong overlap in the functionality that the Personal Dashboard provided, reducing the need for the tool. As the blog indicates, client feedback related to this feature suggested that practices at client organizations varied greatly and customizable checklists tailored to specific client practices are preferred. This is better accomplished through custom widgets and training courses.

This is awesome Josh! We've had several iterations of instructor widgets, but I really like this one.
