For example, I have a class with 8 students. The assignments page will list an assignment as 9/25 completed. What does the 25 represent? Thanks.

Do you have more than one section combined together?
That number is normally the total amount of students in the course shell.

Hi Damon,
The bottom number (25 in your screenshot) is the total number of users who have permission to submit the assignment. In terms of permission configuration, this means their role has the "See and Submit Files to Assignment Submission Folders" setting turned on.
The top number (9 in your screenshot) is the number of users who have already submitted or completed the assignment.
Hope that helps,

Tina,
That was it. I removed that permission for the roles that wouldn't need it and it made the numbers make much more sense.
Thank you.
