Add MindTap deep links after initial course integration

I successfully integrated MindTap into my Brightspace course. Now, I'm trying to add more MindTap deep links to my course, and the Cengage content tool under Course Builder is not working. I've tried dragging the Cengage icon to a course module and also clicking on the Cengage icon and then selecting the course module. Both methods are not working now. After I select the module, nothing happens. How can I add additional deep links after I've already integrated Brightspace with an external content source?

    Hi Jeffrey,

     

    I see the path you are trying to follow in some older documentation that looks somewhat outdated and is now under review. Without better understanding your current progress the flow from Brightspace's UI would involve navigating to External Learning Tools and creating a new LTI Advantage link with the URL from Cengage.

     

    From the Brightspace side any of these tools can be added to courses by navigating to "content" within a course or course template and adding either "Add Exisiting Activities" for quicklinks, or "create new file" -> "Insert Stuff" -> Select link; for Insert Stuff Deeplinks.

     

    If you are having trouble moving forward after these methods and what is outlined in the set up docs please contact your cengage contact you have or through your IT team as there could be problems that are preventing the process.

    Hi Jesse,

     

    I figured it out. It wasn't working with the Microsoft Edge browser, but it worked fine when I tried it with Chrome.

     

    However, my "solution" was odd because I initially created the deep links with the same Edge browser on the same PC one week prior.
