Is there a D2L-created article on using the "view as" feature, particularly for instructors viewing

Hi Clea,
This article has brief step by step instructions, and there's also a Youtube Tutorial if you prefer a demonstration.
I hope that helps!

Hi Heather,
Thanks for sharing! This is a good start and the video is helpful! Do you know when this step by step instruction will be included in the Brightspace Help documentation site (we directed our faculty and students to there usually)? We were originally looking there and found nothing related to switch role yet. Even adding this instruction you shared to the learning environment navigation article there might be helpful.

Thanks for the quick reply, @Heather Williams ! For what it's worth, we find very few faculty/staff use the terminology of "role switch" which is perhaps why I had trouble finding that article. Ditto Fan's comment 😃

Thank you Heather!

Hi Heather, I was just gonna use the article you referred to build a KB for our users. But now it leads me to a Page Not Found page. Did they take down that community article you shared? @Heather Williams Thanks.

@Fan Jiang Hm, it still works for me! But here are the instructions from the article just in case:
- Click on the user icon within the minibar that has your first and last name beside it.
- Click View as... If you do not see this option, contact your Brightspace Administrator to discuss your permissions.
- If you would like to switch to a different role than the one shown by default, click Change. Then select the role you would like to switch to.
- You will now see the title of the switched role below your name in the minibar, as well as a new user icon.
- To switch back to your regular role, click on the user icon and then click X.
