Quiz timer - student disconnect from quiz - time lost? timer stays on? timer reset?

Student gets kicked out of quiz due to interent connection loss or computer froze - timer keeps running? timer resets when student re-enters?  timer pauses and restarts once student re-enters?  **re-enters: meaning re-entering the same attempt - NOT a new attempt

    Hi Moaz,

     

    I tested this on our Support site by taking a quiz as a user, and the following scenarios

    -Disconnected the wi-fi to my my machine in the middle of the quiz attempt

    -Closed the quiz window and randomly browsed the D2L Site (while still logged in as that user)

    -Closed the D2L window altogether (in the middle of the quiz attempt)

     

    In all 3 cases, I found that I had "exceeded the time" when I re-entered the quiz, meaning the clock was ticking.

     

    The quiz exit and re-entry times will be logged in the Quiz Events Log.
