Hi @Olly Fayers ,
Have you tried creating a new course with a survey and content topic with the survey activity and then bulk copy components using CCB tool?
Thanks ,
Iwona

I thought that the CCB tool creates new course offerings altogether? Or am I wrong about that?
We want to have a copy of a survey in many course offerings which already exist.

Hi @Olly Fayers
You can CCB (Copy Course Bulk) allows copying components into multiple org units at once.
Please review the following documentation:

Hi @Olly Fayers , have you considered any of the following:
The Global Announcements tool (in the Admin Tools menu). This option would enable you to insert your survey as a link that would then appear in each existing course offering's Announcements tool. The specific steps can be found in this Brightspace Help topic, Create a global Announcements item. I don't think this option creates a copy of the survey for each course offering, it would need to link to an organization-level survey.
To have a copy of a survey in multiple course offerings, you can use Copy course components between org units - this option does not bulk copy to all course offerings at once, but it would allow you to copy the survey component directly into the course offerings.
Adding the survey to the course template(s) of the course offerings would enable the survey to be shared to future course offerings. Please refer to What is the difference between sharing and copying course components? and all the Course template topics on Brightspace Help for additional information.

@Iwona Szelag - Thanks for your help. I'd read the documentation, but it wasn't clear to me that you could put existing courses into the CSV.
I have now tried that, in our test environment, but I can see that the CCB seems to trigger automatically every morning at 8:30. Is there anything I can do to get the CCB process to trigger manually?
@_Ashley _B Thanks for your answer, but we do need a unique copy for each course offering as the survey is to get students' opinions of each offering. I will bear that in mind for any announcements we might do. It might help to do one like this once all the surveys are in place.

Hi @Olly Fayers
I checked your test org and I confirm that CCB is scheduled to run daily at 8.30 AM.
We can either edit or add a new run time. Alternatively, you can contact the Support team and request CCB trigger.
Thanks,
Iwona

Thanks, @Iwona Szelag , you have really helped with this. My test for the CCB worked when it ran this morning. I've also upvoted and commented on a PIE request for allowing us to trigger it without reaching out to support: https://desire2learn.brightidea.com/ideas/D4734
