How to have different roles enrolled into sections?

Using a CSV file to enroll a user in a "manager" role into a section to restrict their visibility to the class progress of that section. Do not want the user to be a "manager" at the course offering level. The manager should only see data for the section they are enrolled in. Is this possible?

    Hi, yes this is possible. You must restrict the permissions of the Role. The Groups and Sections Management must only have See Sections and not Manage Sections for the role. The Role must also in the Settings not have 'Access all course sections' but 'None of the Above'. They can then be explicitly enrolled in the section and will then only be able to see their Section users in the classlist etc. Hope this helps, Robin
