Simple path for students to access feedback on Discussions? How can I tell if students have access

I assess Discussions via "Assess Topic," so I have a box for written feedback and a box for a score. The scores transfer correctly to the Grade Book. I have published all feedback: how do students access this discussion feedback? Also: how can I see if students have accessed feedback for Discussions and Assignments? I know I can't tell if they actually read it, but can I see if they at least clicked on it? Sorry if these have been answered. I have read lots of posts but there seem to be lots of conflicting answers.Thanks,Carol

Users can view feedback by following the below steps.

For Discussions

--In the Discussions Progress section, click the Topics link for the discussion you want to see rubric feedback for.

For Assignments

--From the Assignments page, locate your assignment, and click Unread in the Evaluation Status column.

When a student access the respective tool, clicks on the "Feedback Unread" link, it will change the status to 'Feedback Read'.
