Does QuickEval support anonymous user names?

Options
As per Quick Eval Shows Student Name On Anonymous Assignment, "To make submissions anonymous in Quick Eval, you must remove permissions for 'See First name', 'See last name', and 'See username' in the User Information Privacy screen. However, changing these permissions impacts all tools globally." Our "Exam Reviewer" role:Has access to Quick EvalDoes NOT have permissions to the items listed in the User Information Privacy screen. When they click on Quick Eval, they can see user names.  Is this a bug? Or are there other permissions that need to be changed?

Hi @Maureen Barrow I was running some testing in one of our sandbox courses and was not able to view learner names when accessing assignment submissions from Quick Eval. Could you provide some walkthrough instructions and more info on exactly which page your Exam Reviewer is able to view learner names on? Is the Exam Reviewer accessing Quick Eval on an Org Homepage or a Course Homepage? Once I have more info I can run some additional testing and try to find a solution for you.

    All the best,

    Thomas

Thanks for the video @Maureen Barrow , when I complete these steps in my test environment I am not seeing the First and Last names like in your video (I added a screenshot below). This leads me to believe there is a permission or configuration variable getting in the way of this functionality.

I played around with adding and removing the User Information Privacy permissions to my test user and they had no affect on my results; that workaround may be out of date. I can reach out to the Quick Eval team to see if they have any information on this issue. My other recommendation would be to contact D2L Support as they can look at the specific permissions and configurations in use at your organization and help determine a solution.

quick_eval_anonI will update if I get any info from the Quick Eval team, hope we can get a solution for you soon.

Turns out my assignment didn't have the Anonymous Marking feature turned on. Make sure you read Quick Eval FAQs before experimenting with Quick Eval.
