Click on the drop-down menu to the right of the title that has unread messages and use the option mark all as read. That should clear them out.

I had thought the system would record those that have been read - like Bladkboard does (I've used Bb for 10yrs and am new to Brightspace). Are there any settings I can change for the system to do this?

Opening them should mark them as read. But that is a work around for if it doesn't.

hey priscilla im a student as well and i found out that in order for me to login i have to open the search page through google crom then search for the student login and it should let u login and u can use another explorer use is fire fox goodluck ma'am

I 'm a student at South University college, I try using the using internet explorer,and find out I can't login in. Is brightspace is the reason so... help me

Priscilla, is there a Brightspace link (icon) through your schools web page, or, from your school Portal page that you signed into? This would get you right into your courses in Brightspace automatically.
