How was this course developed?
This course was designed and developed by four co-op students from the University of Waterloo drawing upon the subject matter expertise of our ninja screen reader user Carin Headrick, Senior Accessibility Strategist at D2L.
We hope that the knowledge and skills offered through this resource would be of use to instructors in creating course material with greater empathy for students who are blind by adopting accessibility strategies outlined therein.
Who is it for?
This course is designed primarily for instructors, instructional designers and course content developers. Anyone who is passionate about creating inclusive learning experiences can also benefit from it.
