ePortfolio is the mobile app built to assist students in collecting artifacts for their ePortfolio portfolio. ePortfolio mobile has been available since 2014, with the most recent update published over a year ago. ePortfolio as a whole has been in maintenance mode for the past few years, and has not been receiving new features.
Why are we making this decision?
D2L is committed to innovation and creating a platform that enables inspired learning experiences. Unfortunately, legacy technology can hold us back from offering the best solutions, ePortfolio Mobile is one of those technologies. It is used by a very small number of Brightspace users, however, it slows down D2L’s ability to release new features and improve existing features. Users that have ePortfolio mobile on their device will be able to continue to use the app indefinitely, however the app will be removed from both the iOS App Store and the Google Play store and no further updates will be published.
What is the impact and transition plan?
ePortfolio Mobile is used by a very small percentage of Brightspace users. Those already using the app will be able to continue to use the app indefinitely. We suggest that they regularly backup their work often, since it is unknown when an update to mobile operating systems may cause the app to stop working.

A. This is not an End of Life announcement for ePortfolio. This in ONLY for the mobile app. While [BROKEN LINK]Portfolio is intended to replace ePortfolio, we recognize that there are still some gaps that we are working to fill. Q. How can students continue to upload photos and videos from mobile to ePortfolio?
A. Students will need to navigate to the responsive web experience using their mobile browser and upload the media that way. The other option is to transfer the file from a mobile device to a computer and upload using the web experience.
