What’s a Custom Widget?

Brightspace Homepages allow you to change the layout and add either default, [BROKEN LINK]System Widgets or Custom Widgets to your design.

Widgets can be thought of as small programs that can offer a lot of functionality. Some are likely very familiar to you, like having a calendar on a course homepage, or something to help you author course announcements.

Custom Widgets allow you to create the style and content of the information that you would like to appear on a homepage.
