What is the best way to name sandboxes?

Hi Randi,
From my experience, Sandboxes are generally only viewed by Admins and Instructors for testing purposes. That being said, the choice of name for the Sandbox does not need to be specific.
Here are some examples that we've seen:
"AdminName_Sandbox"
"Testing_Sandbox"
I hope this helps!
Thank you,

Hi Randi - I've been an admin at two institutions, and here were our naming conventions for creating sandboxes for users.
Course Offering Code
- SBX_username
- SB- FirstName LastName
Course Offering Name
- FirstName LastName's Sandbox
- FirstName LastName Sandbox
You can go many different ways with naming. The main suggestion I would have is to be sure to keep the naming convention across all of the sandboxes for consistency and have a Semester or Department (or both) to keep them sorted. That helps a lot when you pull data out of the system.
Also keep in mind your course templates org unit type. If it's a sandbox specific to a type of course, you might consider mapping the course offering in the org structure back to the course template so they're all related and can reference competencies and other things that need to be shared like external learning tools. Or, have a template for all sandboxes to relate back to for the true sandboxes that are just play areas.

We often have instructors want a sandbox for specific courses, so we do:
SANDBOX [Course Code] - [Instructor Name]
