Am I missing something, or is there not a way to grant access to a faculty member to edit a templat

Options
I have tried adding them to the classlist of the template as I would a course. The solution preferably does not involve granting super administrator access whatsoever. As they cannot access the course management tool, and templates do not show up in the same place as course offerings, I am at a loss as to where they would actually go to edit the template.

You would have to edit that role with rights to do things at the template level.

Then you would need to give them the URL to the template.

Thank you so much for the response! This worked perfectly. I only wish that they didn't have to be responsible for saving the URL. :D

Templates don't work like you would think they would work. They don't auto populate course offerings. So we normally build a master shell (course offering) and they design the course in it and then use Import/Export/Copy to Copy the master into the shells.

But luckily a few years ago D2L implemented my suggestion of adding copy of template into the Import/Export/Copy tool so you can manually copy to template into the course offering now.

That is how we expected it to work. Thank you for making that great suggestion! For essentially every other course, we simply copy the most up to date shells. This was only for a special case. Thank you, again, for being so helpful!
