System & Software Requirements
Brightspace supports a wide range of popular computer configurations. However, upgrading to any newest browser version is not recommended, since it hasn’t been evaluated for use with D2L. If your current software configuration allows you to access Brightspace as expected, you may wish to disable any "automatic updates" until you have completed your Brightspace online coursework at the end of each semester.

Internet Connection Speed
- Although Brightspace is useable over a 56K modem, the faster & more reliable your
Internet connection speed, the better your experience with Brightspace will be. - A hardwired Cable or DSL connection is recommended, particularly for submitting
assignments & quizzes.
Supported Operating Systems
Brightspace is compatible with every version of Windows or Apple operating systems, capable of running any of the supported web browsers listed below.
Desktop Browser Support
Brightspace supports many popular web browser versions. However, upgrading to the newest version of any browser is not recommended unless there is a compelling reason to do so, such as correcting some security vulnerability. If your web browser seems to have problems completing certain tasks within Brightspace, either downgrade to an older version of your browser, or download and use another supported browser. The DHC agents can assist you with these tasks.

* Maintenance browsers" are older browser versions that are not tested extensively against new versions of Brightspace. Customers using these older browsers can still report problems and receive support for critical issues; however, D2L does not guarantee all issues can be addressed. A maintenance browser becomes officially unsupported after one year.
