How to use the Question Library
Listed below are instructions on accessing the Library, and Adding them to you Quiz:
- Accessing the Question Library:
- Go to Quizzes.
- At the top of the page, select Question Library.

- Once in the Question Library, navigate by clicking the folders on the left, or by clicking the breadcrumb above the current folder's name.

- Clicking on New, and selecting the type of question will create a question in your current folder.
- Adding Questions from the Question Library to your Quiz:
- Go to Quizzes
- Select the desired Quiz
- Click on Add / Edit Questions

- Click Import

- Leave Import Source as From an Existing Collection

- Set Source Collection as Question Library
- Set Source Section to the desired section in the Question Library
- Select the Questions and folders you would like to add into your quiz.
- Click Save

How to create a Quiz Question
Follow these steps to create a new question for your quiz.
Only Question from the Question Library can be added to a Random Section:
- Questions can be created in both the Question library and in individual quizzes:
- Quiz - the question will only exist in the quiz:
- Click on the Quiz
- Click on Add/Edit Questions

- Click on New

- Question Library - The question can be imported into other quizzes in your course:
- Click on New

- Select the Type of Question you would like to create
- Assign a Point Value to the Question

- This is the maximum number of points students can earn on the question.
- Enter the Question Text

- If applicable, enter the details for the answers
- Certain Questions require that a Weight(%) be assigned to each available answer

- For Example, if the question is worth 2 points
- A Weight of 100 gives the student 2 points for that answer.
- A Weight of 50 gives the student 1 point.
- A Weight of 0 gives the student 0 points.
- Add any other relevant information (such as text for each option, or feedback).
- Click Save

How to randomize the questions in my quiz
Random sections allow you to randomize the questions in a quiz:
- Go to Quizzes
- Click on the desired Quiz
- Click Add/Edit Questions

- Select New, and choose Random Section

- Click on the newly created section
- Click Import, and search for the questions you want from the Question Library.
- Under Questions per attempt, choose how many of the questions each student will receive from the folder when they take the quiz.

- Under Points each, indicate how many points they can receive for each question.

- Once done, hit Save

- Click on Done Editing Questions.

How to provide feedback on student attempts
Follow these steps to determine the feedback presented to your students:
- Click on the Quiz
- Select the Submission Views tab

- Click on Default View

- Choose whether to show questions:
- If yes, choose the desired format:

- Show questions answered incorrectly
- Marks which questions the student got wrong.
- Show questions answered correctly
- Marks which questions the student got right.
- Show all questions without user responses
- Shows all questions, without indicating the student's answers
- Show all questions with user responses
- Shows all questions, along with the student's answers
- You can additionally decide whether to show students the correct answers and/or the out of scores.
- Once complete hit Save.
- If your Quiz has more than one attempt allowed, additional views can be specified for each attempt.

How to preview a quiz
Your quiz can be previewed through the following steps:
- Click the dropdown next to your quiz's name
- Choose Preview

- Select Bypass Restrictions

- Click Start
- Your preview will now be in progress
- You can click Exit Preview at any time to end the attempt.
- If you choose to Submit the attempt, you can allow it to be graded in the Grade Quiz Area
