LionShare - Grades - Submitting/Releasing Final Grades

There are two different ways that you can make the Current Grade or Final Transcript Grade visible to students:

Method 1 - Automatically release final grade:

This method automatically marks the final grade as released when the grade is saved, making it visible to students.

Go to Grades.
Click Settings in the top-right.
Select Calculation Options.
Scroll down to Final Grade Released and check the box for Automatically release final grade.
Save your changes.

Method 2 - Manually release final grade:

Alternatively, you can decide to manually release final grades, giving you the choice of when the final grade is made visible to students.

Go to Grades.
Select Enter Grades.
Locate the Grade item with the icon to the right of the student grades.
1. Select the dropdown icon for that grade item.
2. Click Enter Grades
If you are using Final Transcript Grade, make any necessary modifications to the student's grades.
To release the grade for specific students:
1. Check the box under the Release column.
2. Save your changes.
To release the grade for all students:
1. Select the dropdown menu at the top of the page.
2. Click Release All.
3. Click OK in the dialogue box.

Current Grade:

Automatically calculates the grade based off of the sum of each student's scores.
Can be combined with the Drop Ungraded items settings to provide students with their current standing in the course.
- This setting can be found in the Grade tool's Settings, under the Calculation Options Tab.

Final Transcript Grade:

Requires that a grade be manually inputted by the instructor.
- You can choose to automatically transfer over the Current Grade as a point of reference.
- Additionally, the grade can be modified to reflect other factors (such as attendance or participation).
