A discussion is missing from your course
If you are unable to locate a discussion in your course, the instructor has either hidden it or has set start/end dates for its visibility that have passed.
- Contact your Instructor
- They will be able to confirm if the restrictions on the discussion are intended
- If necessary, they will be able to edit its visibility (at their discretion).

An error message appears when accessing a discussion post
Not Authorized or Internal Error messages are often the result of an incorrect link in your course
- Contact your Instructor to inform them of the error
- They will have to confirm where the link should be directing students
- If necessary, they can contact us for assistance.

You are unable to post in a discussion to which you have access
This is often the result of a discussion being locked by the instructor.
Locked discussions can still be viewed, but no posts or edits can be made.

Confirm when the discussion was due.


- No additional posts can be made after the date listed on the discussion.
- If the discussion does not have a due date, or the due date has not passed, contact Lions SHARE technical support.

An error message appears when accessing your discussion
This can occur when someone uploads a file with illegal characters in its name to the discussion topic.
As a workaround:
- Click on Settings in the discussion tool.
- Change the Default View to Grid View.
- Return to the discussion list, and try accessing the discussion where the error occurred.
