How do Students get to Chalk&Wire:
- Login to your LionSHARE account
- Click on the courses icon to access your course
- Once you are in your course, click on the "Assignments" link
- In the assignments heading, click on the Chalk&Wire assignment link.
How to submit a document (assignment) using Chalk&Wire:
- For assignments, students have the option to review the rubric (Assessment Instrument) that will be used to assess them. Click on the assignment name to view it.
- Your instructor might have provided instructions for the assignment. If you see "Instructions & Resources" heading, click on the arrow to the left to reveal the information.
- Use the "Add Content" drop-down menu to select the appropriate method for adding content. Methods include: Add Text (Text Block) and Add File.
- Proceed with submitting your work. After adding the work to the portfolio page, the submit button will become enabled in green.
- A submission window will display on the screen, begin typing the "Names of the Assessors" to whom you wish to submit to. Matches in the system will appear as you type, select the correct name.
- Submit after you see a checkmark appear beside the correct name.
A message will appear to indicate that the content has been submitted.
- If you do not see the "Content Submitted" or "Status: Submitted" flag, your content has not been submitted.
Once your submissions have been assessed and the results have been made available, they can be viewed from the "My Results" area.
- The "My Results" area can be found in the "Main Menu Icon".
- Once in the Main Menu Icon, select the "Work" option.
Login Issues:
- Advise the student to reset their password with the "Forgot your password" link.
- Enter the User ID or Email Address associated with your account.
- Once you click submit, you will receive an email with a new random password. Use this new password to access your account.
- If they do not receive the email, please confirm they have checked their Junk/Spam folders.
- If they still do not receive the email, advise them to contact their local Chalk&Wire administrator to request a temporary password reset.
