The formatting is incorrect when you copy content into my discussion:
Note that not all formatting carries over into your post when copy/pasting content.
If all formatting is being ignored, confirm that the correct settings have been enabled for the HTML Editor:
- Ensure that the HTML Editor is enabled:

Go to Account Settings.

Make sure the box for turn off rich text editor and view source is unchecked.

- Save changes if necessary.
- Copy the desired content into your post.
- Certain formatting options (such as text color) may not transfer, and will have to be added through the HTML Editor.

You are unable to copy/paste
This is often the result of using an unsupported browser.
As a Workaround:
- Highlight the text you wish to copy.
- Select and hold Ctrl (Cmd on Macs) and and press C on your keyboard.
- Select where you want to paste the text.
- Select and hold Ctrl (Cmd on Macs) and press V on your keyboard.
- The content should copy into your discussion.

How to add pictures / videos to your discussion post
Pictures and Videos can be added to your post using Insert Stuff or Insert Image.
- Within the Post's HTML Editor, click Insert Stuff or Insert Image.

Choose the appropriate source (for example, your Computer, a URL, etc).

- Locate the picture / enter the URL.
- Select Upload.
- Either click on Post to publish your post once ready or Save as Draft if you would like to post it later.

You are unable to delete your discussion posts
Students do not have permission to delete their own discussion posts.
To have your post deleted:
- Contact your Instructor.
- It is at their discretion whether or not they delete the post.
As a Workaround, you can edit the content of your post, although any changes are recorded.
We advise confirming with your Instructor whether they have a preference regarding edits.
- Locate your Discussion post.
- Select Edit.
- Edit the content as advised by your Instructor.
- Save changes.

The Equation Editor is not working properly
The Equation editor used in Brightspace requires Java.
- Refer to the System Checker to confirm whether the plugin is missing.
- Please note that certain web browsers (Chrome, Firefox) prevent the system checker from running reliably.
